This month our volunteers gave a presentation to National Seniors at Modbury on the prevalence and dangers of asbestos.
The group meets monthly at the Salvation Army Community Centre and has a regular programme of speakers and outings.
All were interested to hear about the many different – and sometimes surprising – places where asbestos can be found. There were some in the audience who were affected by asbestos disease and others who have annual health checks because of known asbestos exposure.
We always ask our listeners to spread the word amongst their families and friends – the more people we can reach, the better.
