Asbestos waste must be taken to a licensed transfer station or depot. Check with your local council where the nearest is located or check here asbestos.sa.gov.au.
Asbestos waste must be double bagged using 200-micron thick polythene bags, tied and sealed for disposal.
Remember:
It is illegal to dispose of asbestos waste in domestic bins.
Do not dispose of asbestos during council 'hard rubbish' collections or dump waste illegally.
