National Asbestos Awareness week runs from 23 to 27 November this year.

Asbestos Victims Association will hold its Memorial Service in Pitman Park at 10.30 am on 27 November 2020. Social distancing of 1.5 metres will be observed and there will be limited seating but regrettably no BBQ this year.

We are required to ask for contact details of those attending. To assist us, it would be helpful to RSVP by 20 November to admin@avasa.asn.au or phone 0455 120 588. Relatives and friends are invited to lay flowers in memory of loved ones at the conclusion of the ceremony. If you are unable to attend in person, please let us know and AVA volunteers will leave a flower on your behalf. A video of the service will be available to view on our website from 10.30 am on Saturday 28 November: avasa.asn.au/home/memorial-day

Once again, Salisbury Council has provided assistance with planning the day to ensure that all runs smoothly. We have also had the opportunity to have a display in the Salisbury library – call in and see our posters if you are in the area.Special thanks to Jenny Henry for all her cheerful assistance.
