 Professor Doug Henderson AO

Doug Henderson had a long and distinguished career in pathology, with a particular interest in the diagnosis and causation of asbestos related disease.

He was awarded the Order of Australia for his work at Flinders University and with the World Health Organisation and World Trade Organisation.He made a difference to the lives of hundreds of people affected by asbestos disease, most especially mesothelioma patients.

We at AVA are grateful to him for his kind and patient manner when sharing his knowledge with us.

Our thoughts are with his family and many friends.

There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains.
